Yes, it is Memorial Day- a very special way of giving recognition to our beloved countrymen who died from the battle for freedom. They died with pride on rendering their services and life for the nation’s glory. So, this is the moment for us to thank them and their family for the bravery and for the love of the country. It is not just about partying on the backyard and having a big barbecue but for some reflections and prayers for those heroes and to pray for the safety of those countrymen who are currently serving and protecting the freedom of our country.

To most, Memorial Day represents a day off from work and a chance to enjoy life with family. But on Monday, many city residents took the time also to recognize service members who lost their lives so that all Americans can be free.

John Leason took his young son Ryan to a Memorial Day recognition ceremony at Mayflower Hill Cemetery on Monday morning, precisely to impart that message to him.

“I’m concerned especially for my son that too many people regard Memorial Day as a day that starts off summer,” Leason said. “People think of it as about sales, and putting their boats in the water and having barbecues. Too many people have become disenfranchised from the military. But we are honoring veterans who died for this country.”

American Idol Season 10 “Scotty McCreery”

After the long run of this season’s show, it was a very close competition between the two young pros in American Idol. The North Carolina teen sensation Scotty McCreery takes the Season 10 title over Lauren Alaina. And boy I tell you, it was so hard judging the night before the finale. They’re both awesome country singers with amazing personality and genuine characteristics. I can’t wait for the release of their new singles. Just bring it on “kiddos”!

After two hours, the time has come. It's time to reveal the winner of "American Idol" Season 10! Lauren is already in tears, dressed for "The Lawrence Welk Show," and Scotty actually dressed up for this one.



And the winner is ... Scotty McCreery! He was in it to win it all along! Did he and Lauren just kiss?! When Ryan said that "s," he knew. Did he get a trophy? Since when does that happen?! Aww, Scotty is so sweet. And look at his awesome relatives! Is Scotty related to God? That's what I imagine God looking like.

End Of The World May 21, 2011: “ Flat- out Wrong”

If you are reading this blog right now, it means the 'World did not end'! The doomsday prediction of Harold Egbert Camping about the end of the world on May 21 had created panic to most of us. However, it was just a sham.It was hilarious when you listen to people who acted like they knew when they gonna die. Some of them wished to celebrate birthdays in advance or tend to do some crazy things just to enjoy the rest of the day because they believed the world will completely end. It sounds stupid but even my innocent 10 years old little sister thought about getting married two days before the said doomsday. I was totally shocked when she told me that.

And why would they based the future from the book? I hope there is no more phoney news to be scattered in the future.

Well, not yet, anyway.
"Nobody knows the exact day when these things are going to happen," Steve Wohlberg, who has written more than two dozen books about the End of Days, told the Daily News Thursday.
Wohlberg believes the theory that the world will end on May 21, a date set by 89-year-old Family Radio founder Harold Egbert Camping, is "flat-out wrong."
